Join us in the Garden for a joyous Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration. With origins in Mexico, this colorful holiday is a time to share memories of loved ones, and celebrate our families and friends. Discover the holiday’s significance and its rich culture though special displays, tours, and arts and crafts stations.

Immerse yourself in live music, dance performances, and delicious dishes. Bring the whole family for an adventure in color, aroma, and flavor.

What to Expect:

  • Enjoy live music and dance
  • Festive hands-on activities for the family
  • Enjoy food and drink specials in Fogg Café
  • View a community ofrenda (offering) in Kapnick Hall
  • Photo opportunities in the Garden

Family-Friendly Entertainment:

  • Mexican Folkloric Dance from 10 – 11am  
  • DJ Vamanos from 11 – 11:30am
  • Havy Rodriguez & the Miami Splash Band from 11:30 am – 2:30pm
  • DJ Vamanos from 2:30 – 4pm

Special Food & Drink:

  • Taco Tummy Food Truck on-site offering traditional foods and paletas (Mexican popsicles) available for purchase – while supplies last, 11am – 4pm
  • Food specials in Fogg Café: Elote Street Corn and Pumpkin Empanadas with Marshmallow Dipping Sauce – while supplies last, 10am – 4pm

Ongoing Activities:

  • View Community Altars & Leave Your Own Memory in Kapnick Hall, 10am – 4pm
  • Dig Deeper: The Spice is Right: Spices of Mexico, 10am – 4pm
  • Día de los Muertos-themed family activities on the Performance Lawn, 10am – 4pm
  • Photo opportunities including Catrinas by Ricardo Soltero, 10am – 4pm
